The three cases

On candy.ai, episode 1 of every open series plays for anyone. Tap episode 2 as a guest and Candy puts its sign-up form in front of you: no card, just an email. From episode 3, an upgrade window takes over, and with Premium each further episode is paid in tokens.

On candyshorts.com, the Shorts-only site EverAI runs alongside candy.ai, episodes 1 and 2 of the open series both play logged out. Past them it shows a membership window with the same three plans as Candy Premium. The Spicy series are not listed there at all.

Spicy series are the exception everywhere: 15 titles that ask for Premium on the very first episode. A free account only makes their posters visible. The Spicy list.

Series that give away the most

One series give away three episodes instead of two: Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right. On a standard five-episode series, the two free episodes are 40% of the story, the best ratio in the catalog; on long runs like My bestie betrayed me (34 episodes) they are a trailer.

Free episodes that stand on their own

Yes: every one of the 154 open series opens with two free episodes, 309 in total and roughly 5.7 hours of viewing.
Do I need an account?
Episode 1 needs none anywhere, and candyshorts.com never asks. Only candy.ai wants a free sign-up, an email and no card, before episode 2.
