How we score Candy AI Shorts

A score out of 10 is only useful if you can see how it was made. Two parts are our judgment, three are measured, and all five are printed on every review.

The five parts

The total is the weighted average, to one decimal. Measured parts are recomputed every time we count the catalog, so a price change moves the score.

Where the words come from

Every review is written by our desk from the dialogue of the free episodes, read in Candy's subtitle files. We never copy Candy's own series blurbs, never quote the scripts and never guess at paid episodes we cannot see. When episode 2 has no English subtitles yet, the review says so and rests on episode 1.

What we leave out

Series whose free episodes point to a school setting, or to a character who could read as under 18, do not get a review, and posters with school imagery are replaced by a plain title card. Candy builds every character with AI and bills each one as a grown-up, and our reviews follow suit.

The data

Catalog, episodes and prices from Candy's pages, counted every few days (6 counts since October 6, 2026); episode 1 lengths from the video files, episode 2 estimated from its subtitles; account and Premium limits checked with a free account of our own. Raw figures: by the numbers.

Corrections

If a number on this site no longer matches Candy, the catalog has moved since our last count. Corrected figures go live at the next count with a new date.
