The setup
The stepdad has just married Evangelina's mother, and the family trip that follows has loose ideas about boundaries. It opens with target practice and a round of compliments that are not really about aim, plus a new nickname for him that she tries on for size. Back at the villa he introduces his brother Chad, who leads with flattery and follows with an invitation to a yacht party that night. Episode 1 ends with an invitation to jump into the pool, which is where this show seems happiest.
Episode 2
Episode 2 is mostly pool time and party talk. Chad pitches the yacht event as a casual bikini affair, the staring starts to look like gossip material, and at the party he points out she is technically his step-niece right before asking her to dance. It ends on a suggestion that the whole group relocate to a bedroom, which is less a cliffhanger than a summary.
Who's who
- Evangelina: the new stepdaughter, flirting with both brothers and enjoying the reaction from each
- The stepdad: newly married, proud of his stepdaughter's looks in a way that should worry her mother
- Chad: the stepdad's brother, a party promoter in spirit if not in title
Viewers who want vacation scenery, swimsuits and a blended family that skips the awkward getting-to-know-you phase entirely.
You want dialogue with some wit: most exchanges here are a compliment followed by a word like okay or sure.
Verdict: 6.2 out of 10
There is a vacation here, a villa, a pool and a yacht, and the script treats them like a checklist. Every scene runs the same pattern: someone compliments Evangelina, she says something agreeable, and the group moves to the next body of water. The taboo angle is stated more than played, with the step-niece line used as a punchline instead of a source of tension. As a postcard it works. As a reason to buy the rest, it leans on curiosity about that bedroom suggestion and little else.
