The setup

The narrator opens with a confession: Veronica, stepmother to his best friend Gerald, is the hottest woman he knows. He drops by the house, startles her, and learns that Gerald has stepped out. Then Holly arrives for a Pilates date with Veronica, finds her not ready, and spends the wait admiring the visitor's abs and his outfit. By the time Veronica comes back, the two women have quietly turned him into a contest, and one of them wagers she will get him first. The other accepts with a shrug.

Episode 2

Pilates, in episode 2, is a pretext. Veronica quizzes him about his workouts while he struggles to keep his eyes level, he tries to leave, and both women insist he stay. Each needs a hand on a sore spot, the requests drift steadily upward, and the rivalry erupts into an argument over whose chest is natural and whose is bigger. The obvious solution, a direct comparison, is where it stops.

Veronica: Gerald's stepmom, startled at first and fiercely competitive within minutes
Holly: her Pilates partner, blunt, flirtatious, and quick to place a bet
The narrator: Gerald's friend, out of his depth and too polite to make an exit

Verdict: 7.7 out of 10

The best thing here is the rivalry, not the man in the middle. Holly and Veronica snipe at each other with real gusto, and the fight over surgical versus natural assets is the funniest exchange in either episode. The narrator is a placeholder with abs. The structure is simple: arrive, flirt, stretch, escalate, and episode 2 ends exactly where you expect it to. Fine if catfight comedy appeals, thin if you need anything else to happen.
