My Hot Stepmom Just Crashed Our Euro Trip review

The setup

Two friends board a flight to Paris, and the attendant offering first-class perks turns out to be the narrator's stepmom, Holly. She complains that his father never flatters her and openly advertises the lavatory as a club with open membership. The narrator declines on grounds of basic family decency. His buddy has no such grounds and volunteers with alarming speed. Holly keeps the cabin service suggestive the rest of the way, the captain announces the descent, and she drops the news that her Paris layover lasts a week. She has plans to show him around.

Episode 2

Paris brings a language class. The narrator eyes a local waitress, gets a crash course in confidence and one French pickup line, and fumbles it the moment she comes back to the table. Holly volunteers for private tutoring, with a pointed remark about tongues. Then a dash to the bathroom ends in a collision, a spilled drink, and a soaked top. The episode closes with that top coming off and a question about whether he is ready for the view.

Who's who

• The narrator: a reluctant stepson who keeps saying no to things his buddy says yes to
• Holly: his stepmom, cabin crew by trade, with a week off and a teaching streak
• The buddy: an eager wingman with zero shame and strong opinions about airplane lavatories

Verdict: 5.7 out of 10

The plane is a fun stage and Holly's uniform innuendo has some swagger, but the free episodes cannot decide whose story this is. The buddy gets the action, the narrator gets the hesitation, and Holly hands out offers to whoever is nearest. Paris should sharpen things and mostly adds a French lesson that runs long. The spill at the end is a cheap cliffhanger. There is charm in the chaos, but the paid episodes would need real focus to be worth the stopover.
