The setup
His girlfriend is delighted: her stepsister, a competitive gymnast with a big meet three weeks out, is moving in for a month. He takes one look and rates his survival odds at zero. The stepsister keeps gymnast hours, which means she is up before anyone, telling him he is allowed to look and then recruiting him to help her stretch. Every rep comes with a double entendre about hard training. She promises not to tell her sister what a talented spotter he is. When he mutters what he is thinking, it gets repeated right back to him.
Episode 2
Training becomes a game show. The stepsister invents a round where he scores her moves from one to ten, and his judging is hardly impartial. Mid-warm-up she asks whether he would keep helping if her sister walked in, and then the sister does. Nobody gets caught, everybody fibs at dinner, and the girlfriend mentions her stepsister is 22 and bossy. Then she goes to bed early, and the gymnast wonders aloud how heavy a sleeper she is.
Who's who
- The boyfriend: a man with good intentions and a very short supply of excuses
- The stepsister: a competitive gymnast who treats flirting as one more event she plans to win
- The girlfriend: trusting, sweet, and turning in early at the worst time
Viewers who enjoy playful, game-driven flirting and the risk of a partner in the next room more than explicit drama.
You wince at sports puns; nearly every line about training, warm-ups, and scoring doubles as innuendo.
Verdict: 7.2 out of 10
Credit the scoring game: it lets the stepsister run every scene while he plays judge with an obvious conflict of interest. She has real comic timing, and the near-miss with the girlfriend is staged with a light touch. The boyfriend never decides anything himself, which keeps the tension thin, and the overheard line that ends episode 1 is muddled. The heavy-sleeper question, though, is a good closing beat, and if this flavor of mischief appeals, the paid episodes look worth a try.
