The setup

Dad is gone for two weeks, his wife has a broken leg, and his son, who narrates, is left to look after her. She cannot get into bed alone or reach her own clothes, and her thanks sound less like thanks every time. When he offers whatever she needs, she warns him that is a risky promise to make to her. A guilty Dad thanks him on the way out. The job turns out to be zippers: her dress, her bra, anything with a fastening. Episode 1 closes on her warning that tonight the work runs in reverse.

Episode 2

Episode 2 is the evening shift. He unzips, she critiques his speed, and Dad phones for an update just as the bra clasp becomes a problem. She tells her husband she is fine and well looked after, then asks whether her stepson is tired of her yet. Neither of them is. She wants help lying down beside him, on what he points out is his father's side of the bed, and she knows exactly whose it is.

Verdict: 7.5 out of 10

The injury does its job fast, explaining in two lines why he is there and why she needs him. After that, the show leans on one device: zip, unzip, clasp, repeat. Her lines carry it. She is plainly the one steering, and her answer about whose side of the bed she has claimed is the sharpest beat in either episode. He mostly narrates his own luck. Pleasant as a slow burn, but the rest will need more than wardrobe assistance to hold attention.
