The setup
Professor Bree Whitlock teaches English, and the man in her class spent her whole lecture looking at her rather than the lesson. She hands back a failing grade with a diagnosis attached and orders him to stay behind. The one-on-one session starts as a study drill and becomes a staring contest he keeps losing, his eyes drifting down and dragging back up. She dismisses him, catches him lingering, and lays out his options: retake the exam tomorrow alongside everyone else, or return alone at nine tonight for something more private.
Episode 2
Episode 2 is the nine o'clock session. He arrives late, she has him read an archaic line aloud while holding her gaze, and he answers every instruction with the same two-word reply. Then she tests his focus with a series of distractions, admits her husband believes she is grading papers, and spells out what she would lose if anyone found out. She decides the risk is worth it, and the lesson ends on a pet name.
Who's who
- Professor Bree Whitlock: an English professor, married, exacting, and running every encounter like an exam
- The student: a man failing her class because he cannot stop watching her teach it
Fans of the strict-instructor fantasy who enjoy ritual, obedience and a single phrase repeated until it becomes the whole point.
You find repetition grating: the title phrase is roughly half of his dialogue across both episodes.
Verdict: 6.5 out of 10
Simple, controlled and more disciplined than most. The professor is the whole show: precise, patient, and smart enough to make the power imbalance the subject rather than an accident. The repeated reply becomes a running joke and then a ritual, which is either the point or the problem depending on your tolerance. Episode 2's mention of her husband adds a welcome note of risk. The free episodes are a tidy pair, and the paid rest has a clear, if narrow, appeal.
