The setup

Ren and his roommate have the domestic routine down: coffee always waiting, Ren caught staring, the toast taking the blame. The breakfast banter is warm and a bit too practiced, the easy rhythm two people build when neither wants to name what is happening. One of them starts a real sentence, swallows it, and they both agree it meant nothing, which it plainly did not. Then Amira turns up at the door announcing she is moving in, and the episode stops on the surprise.

Episode 2

Amira has been dumped and thrown out by a man named Dorian, and Ren has just lost his job, so a three-way rent split turns her crisis into everyone's solution. She claims the best closet at once. Then she clocks the roommate's feelings for Ren and proposes a bet: both women pursue him, the loser backs off forever, and he is never told the whole thing was a wager. The roommate calls it insane and accepts by the next breath.

Few of these shorts bother to make you like the leads before the scheming starts, and this one does. The coffee-and-toast opener has real warmth, the near confession lands, and Amira arrives like a sitcom grenade. Episode 2 does something smarter than escalate: it gives the show a rule-based engine, two women competing for a man who does not know he is the prize. The paid episodes have a clear question to answer, and you will want the answer.
