The setup
Rose introduces herself to the camera like an influencer with a one-line philosophy: look after yourself, look great, have a good time, repeat. She is quick to add that brains are not why everyone knows her. Her roommate gets a shorter bio. He is a nerd who fixes everything, agrees to everything, and mostly stays shut in his room, which suits her fine. The episode ends with Rose informing him, through his door, that she has enlarged the keyhole and he is free to put it to use.
Episode 2
He spends the start of episode 2 wondering whether permission to look counts as an invitation. Rose, alone and allergic to boredom, drafts him as her chauffeur with a vague promise to make it worth his while. He drives, she shows off, a stranger enters the picture, and the pickup takes about four seconds. Then Rose turns to her roommate to point out that he just watched a master class and should try taking notes.
Who's who
- Rose: vain, bored, and fully aware her roommate will do whatever she asks
- The roommate: the nerd who keeps the apartment running and never manages to say no
Viewers who like humiliation played for laughs, with a heroine who treats her roommate as both staff and audience.
You need the male lead to win a single exchange: here he exists to watch, drive, and get told off.
Verdict: 6.1 out of 10
Cuckold fantasy rarely bothers with foreplay, and this one goes straight to the contempt. Rose is the whole show: vain, breezy, and funnier than the script may have intended, especially when she narrates her own shallowness with pride. The keyhole gag is a clever opener, and the chauffeur errand in episode 2 sharpens the power gap. What is missing is any sign the roommate has an inner life. If the dynamic is your thing, there is room to escalate; if not, two minutes is plenty.
