The setup

After whatever ended the world, he has passed three years hunting for one other surviving man. What he finds instead is a walled sanctuary holding five hundred women, and the first one to spot him can hardly believe her eyes. He is escorted inside so the queen can be told. The rules are explained with a straight face: he is now the most precious thing behind those walls, nobody lays a hand on him without his consent, and if he would rather sleep alone, there is a lock on the door. The episode ends on that lock.

Episode 2

So, the door: he left it unlocked, and the queen herself comes calling. She is unhurried, amused, and visibly pleased at the thought of her guards finding out. It briefly plays as a royal seduction in a sanctuary called Eden. Then she explains the real agenda. Humanity needs a future, he is the only route to one, and so every woman inside expects a turn. His two-word reaction is the cliffhanger, and it is a funny one.

Who's who

Watch it if

Viewers who like a high-concept fantasy with a comic edge, where the joke is that paradise comes with a quota.

Give it a miss if

You want a real post-apocalyptic story; the end of the world here is a premise, not a plot.

Verdict: 6.6 out of 10

Few shorts find a premise this clean: one man, five hundred women, and a queen who frames the whole thing as civic duty. The world-building is cardboard (we never learn what ended anything), but the writing knows where the comedy is. The unlocked door is a tidy device, and the queen's demographic math lands as a genuine punchline. He is a cipher, which costs some spark. As bait for the paid episodes, though, the sheer scale of the promise is hard to argue with.
