The setup
Stranded by a storm, Delilah, home from college, and her stepbrother Dani are spending the night at the parents' house. Dinner starts with grace, and Delilah spends it pointing out where Dani's eyes have wandered, nicknaming him accordingly. Mom then sends him to help with her laundry, where the dryer covers for them. She offers a story about her Friday night; he declines, rudely; she explains that he featured in it. Before she can finish describing what she would do if he were not family, Mom checks on the folding. Delilah's parting note: tonight, and her door faces his.
Episode 2
That night Delilah slips into Dani's room, confirms the parents are out cold, and proposes a game of alternating questions. Her opener revisits grace, and his honest answer earns approval. When he raises the technicality of their being siblings, she treats it as a speed bump. A parent calls for bed; she claims a trip for water. Then she sets her terms: he has to admit out loud what he wants before anything comes off, and the episode stops there.
Who's who
- Delilah: the stepsister home for the storm, running every scene like a game she designed
- Dani: her stepbrother, caught staring during grace and much worse at denials than she is
- The parents: Mom and a snoring stepdad, both gifted at interrupting at the worst moment
Viewers who want classic stepsibling taboo with a playful structure, built on dares, house rules and parents asleep down the hall.
You find the step-family premise a hard no: the show leans into it in nearly every line.
Verdict: 8.0 out of 10
Simple architecture, well used: a dinner, a laundry room and a bedroom, each with a parent close enough to interrupt. Delilah is the engine, turning grace into a running joke and the question game into a negotiation, while Dani gives just enough back to make it an exchange rather than a lecture. The taboo is the whole menu, so there is no surprise in where it heads. The surprise is the pacing, and her final condition is a cliffhanger with real tension in it.
