The setup
For their anniversary she has booked a spa day for two, but the front desk delivers bad news: the shared suite is unavailable, so the couple gets split into separate rooms. She protests that she wanted to lie beside him; nothing can be changed. His masseuse greets him with a pet name and leads him off. Inside, he learns his girlfriend filled out the intake form and picked the most complete option on it. He asks what that includes. The answer is every stitch of clothing off, and a direct question about how he wants his session to finish.
Episode 2
He tries the obvious defense: he is spoken for. The masseuse already knows, since his girlfriend is footing the bill, which he doubts. Cut to the other room, where the girlfriend urges her own therapist to work harder, hoping it stings, and crowns herself partner of the year. Back with him, the masseuse cites orders to hold nothing back and asks if he will stop her. He does not. She advises him to put his girlfriend out of mind.
Who's who
- The boyfriend: anniversary guest of honor, face down on a table and the last to understand the booking
- The masseuse: brisk, flirtatious, and very literal about following the written instructions
- The girlfriend: the buyer, booked into the same package next door and keen to make him jealous
Viewers who like the cheating fantasy with the guilt surgically removed, since the partner arranged and paid for the whole afternoon.
You want the boyfriend to have a personality: he speaks in short, startled replies and mostly follows instructions.
Verdict: 6.3 out of 10
The title gives away episode 1, so the surprise has to come from elsewhere, and episode 2 finds one: the girlfriend is not the victim of this setup but its author, cheering on her own therapist next door. That reframing turns a stock spa fantasy into a game both of them are playing, a fresher angle than it sounds. The weak link is the boyfriend, a man of four-word replies whose main job is lying still. If he ever gets something to say, the game could get genuinely fun.
