The setup
The Director opens by dressing down a room full of staff for losing money every month, and one employee earns special attention by staring at the wrong part of her. She calls him out, he apologizes over and over, and she lets him know his position is now negotiable. Her husband owns the company and fires people at the slightest mistake, she explains. She can protect him, but only in exchange for a favor that will never appear in writing. The episode ends with an evening appointment and a presentation, run strictly her way.
Episode 2
Episode 2 is the presentation, and every slide becomes a double entendre. The Director tells her husband she is staying late, then informs her employee they will both be sweating. He pitches a sales plan about pushing harder and cutting soft leads, and she turns each phrase into commentary. When he gets the order of operations wrong, she recalls her earlier warning about the next mistake. The punishment is a working-off arrangement, and his reaction closes the episode.
Who's who
- The Director: the owner's wife, all ice in the meeting room and all leverage after hours
- The employee: a staffer caught staring, desperate to keep his job and agreeable to a fault
Viewers who like office power games played for laughs, where a sales deck becomes an extended innuendo and the boss never cracks.
You find corporate jargon used as foreplay more corny than clever, because episode 2 is built entirely on it.
Verdict: 6.4 out of 10
The dominant-boss formula is old, but this version has a sense of humor about it. The Director is genuinely intimidating in the opener, which makes her pivot to a private deal feel like a threat rather than a wink. Episode 2's slide-by-slide innuendo is the main attraction: some lines land, some are groaners, and all are delivered with a straight face. The employee's catchphrase compliance becomes a running joke. Fans of the setup will want to sit in on the next review meeting.
