The setup
Brad, the fiancé, is too busy for rehearsal, so the bride drafts her stepbrother and hands him the groom's role. She is precise about the choreography: where Brad puts his hands, where she would prefer them, and Brad's perfect record of getting it wrong. Brad phones in, learns who the substitute is and waves him off as harmless. The stepbrother replies with a vow that doubles as a critique of Brad's favorite pet name, and Brad proves its point with his very next word. She then cues the kiss, curious whether harmless is accurate.
Episode 2
Episode 2 still lacks English subtitles; we judged the first episode alone.
Who's who
- The bride: engaged to Brad, rehearsing with the wrong man and directing every move herself
- The stepbrother: drafted as stand-in groom, quiet until his vows land like a verdict
- Brad: the fiancé, skipping rehearsal, reachable by phone and far too fond of one pet name
Viewers who like their taboo with a comic foil, where the absent fiancé undermines himself every time he picks up the phone.
You find a stepbrother playing groom more awkward than funny: every beat of the episode depends on that swap.
Verdict: 7.3 out of 10
A dull fiancé turns out to be the best device here. Brad never makes it to the rehearsal, yet every call he makes hands the stepbrother an opening, and his pet name ends up as the punch line. The bride runs things with a director's bossiness; the stepbrother saves his words for one vow that does more damage than a toast. Wedding prep gives the premise a built-in deadline, and the opener closes on a dare. On that evidence, the paid episodes are tempting.
